UK financial series

The main scope of this article is to present a reconstruction of historic financial accounts for the UK, to explore their structure and compare them with those of other selected countries. This reconstruction has been conducted jointly with the Office for National Statistics (ONS) and the Bank of England, and is part of a broader Organization for Economic Co-operation and Development (OECD) project to extend back the currently available time series for financial accounts for a group of OECD countries: Canada, France, Germany, Italy, Japan, Spain, the UK and the US.
